29 OCTOBER, WE,THE TURKISH PEOPLE in TURKEY and AROUND THE WORLD CELEBRATE the 92th ANNIVERSARY OF THE TURKISH REPUBLIC.

After World War I, the Ottoman Empire was occupied by brutal foreign powers. The Independence War, led by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, started in 1919 and ended with victory at August 1922.

New beginning, Turkish Republic founded at 29th October 1923, following the Independence War. It was end of 700 years of Ottoman Empire.

 

Atatürk, the founder of Turkish Republic, the father of Turks embarked on intensive and comprehensive reforms like Secularist Reforms, Civil Rights for Women, New Constitution.

October 29th means independence, sovereignty, reforms, freedom, and progress of democracy for people of Turkey.

Atatürk, being such a great military man who led the Independence War and brought the victory, said;

“Peace at home, peace in the world”.

“Unless a nation's life faces peril, war is murder.”

“Mankind is a single body and each nation a part of that body. We must never say "What does it matter to me if some part of the world is ailing?" If there is such an illness, we must concern ourselves with it as though we were having that illness.”

29 October, 2015, while we celebrate the 92th year of Turkish Republic Anniversary and remember Atatürk, the father of Turks, let’s we all wish Peace at Home, Peace in the World.
